After reading this intro to my time-saving recipe layout, head over and try the first cozy classic: Chicken Hash Casserole!
A Better Way to Find (and Actually Make) the Recipes You Pin
If you're like me, your Pinterest boards are probably packed with dreamy dinner ideas, slow cooker suppers, and cozy casseroles you’ve been “meaning to try” for months. You save them with good intentions… but when it comes time to actually cook, it’s a whole different story.
Most days, I just don’t have time to scroll through someone’s entire life story to find the ingredients. And half the time, I never get around to writing them down anyway.
That’s exactly why I decided to change how I share recipes here on the blog — not just for you, but honestly, for me too.
No More Endless Scrolling for the Recipe
We've all been there. You click a recipe link, and then you're 27 paragraphs deep learning about someone's childhood dog before you ever get to the actual ingredient list. I get it — storytelling is sweet. But sometimes, mama just needs to cook dinner.
That’s why I’ve designed my new recipe layout to be:
Quick to navigate
Easy to shop
Designed with real busy moms in mind
You’ll now find the ingredients front and center, followed immediately by a "Shop the Recipe" section that links directly to each product on Walmart.
Shop the Recipe — No Writing Lists, No Guesswork
I created this new section because I was tired of clicking away from recipes, only to forget what I needed at the store later.
Now, you can simply tap a button and add the exact ingredients straight to your Walmart cart — no hunting around, no messy notepad scribbles, and no second-guessing in the middle of the store aisle.
Best part? If you live in an area with Walmart delivery or pickup, you can schedule it for whenever is most convenient. Whether it's a quick pick up after school, sports practice, or during your lunch break, you’ll have everything you need without stepping foot in the grocery store.
Real Food for Real Life
Every recipe I share is built around these three non-negotiables:
Simple, affordable ingredients (no weird specialty items you’ll never use again)
Comforting, family-friendly flavors that even picky eaters can love
Stress-free prep and cleanup so you can get dinner on the table fast and enjoy more time being with your family, not stuck in the kitchen
And now, with the new clickable ingredient list, it’s never been easier to actually make the meals you save. I want your pins to become plates, not just digital dreams.
My New Recipe Layout — What You’ll Find
Here’s what you can expect every time you open a recipe post on the blog:
Beautiful, scroll-friendly format: No fluff, no fuss, just the essentials in the order you need them
Printable recipe card for your binder or fridge or even to save on your phone for quick reference
Shop the Recipe section with direct affiliate links to Walmart (and Amazon, when helpful)
Optional kitchen tools and accessories that simplify prep or cleanup
I wanted this new format to feel like a well-worn recipe card in your grandma’s drawer — reliable, comforting, and easy to follow.
I built this new recipe format for mamas who:
Want to serve homemade meals but don’t have hours to prep
Prefer clickable, printable, shoppable tools instead of digging around
Need flexibility with pickup or delivery options
Want to make their pins finally pay off
Whether you’re a full-time homemaker, a working mom, or somewhere in between, you deserve to feel like making dinner is doable — not draining.
Let’s Make Dinner Feel Simple Again
Life is full. Your meal planning doesn’t have to be.
With this new layout, I’m hoping to take a little stress off your plate and replace it with something cozy, comforting, and helpful — like a simmering pot of stew or a warm oven on a chilly night.
So go ahead, scroll through a recipe.
Click what you need.
Schedule your pickup.
Dinner has practically made itself.
